"With regard to food shortage, yes we did talk about food shortages, and it's gonna be real."
So said Joe Biden a few weeks ago. The "Holy-crap, what-did-he-just-say?!" alarm immediately sounded in the room where the people who take him places and program his teleprompter secret themselves... the White House "What-he-really-meant-to-say" clean-up crew was dispatched forthwith. Americans don't need yet another crisis to worry about; crime, inflation, an illegal alien invasion, all time high gas prices, a sinking stock market, record numbers of drug overdose deaths, and war are quite enough.
But he said it, and for once, it wasn't just the incoherent mumblings of a senile old man.
There are very few Americans alive who can remember nationwide food shortages... the last was 80 years ago during WWII when food was rationed. There have been none since... which may correlate with the fact that since WWII, there has been no president as comprehensively incompetent, inept, and disconnected from the American people... and reality, than Joe Biden.
There hasn't been a single thing Joe Biden's done that's turned out well; from his disastrous and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal to wrecking the economy, Joe Biden's presidency has been a comprehensive failure. And now we have food shortages.
Currently, there are critical nationwide shortages of, amongst other things, a product fundamental to the well-being of millions of Americans. Panicked parents are searching far and wide for baby formula which is being rationed when available... and it often isn't.
The Biden/Harris administration has known about supply chain problems for over a year; warnings about baby formula shortages were unheeded... at the very same time Joe Biden went off-script and told everyone to expect food shortages and "it's gonna be real."
Well, it's real, and millions of parents know it. Theses are the same parents who Joe Biden called domestic terrorists for complaining to school boards about their children's education, the same parents who spend $5 a gallon for gas, who have to worry about crime and whether their child's last stupid mistake of taking a pill will result in another fentanyl overdose death. These are parents who vote.
But Joe Biden doesn't care; he's totally oblivious to what's happening in America. He's just a doddering, incoherent, senile old man who shuffles behind the people who take him places and reads what they've programmed into his teleprompter; after that, it's time for a nap. But there is one thing Joe Biden may share with the American people... one tiny patch of common ground.
Many of the same companies that manufacture baby formula also produce similar products; babies will cry when they're hungry for their formula. So will Joe Biden when...
There's no more strained peas to be had.
