Typically, a presidential election year starts off much like the common cold... in January, it's little more than a sore throat and a few sniffles. As spring turns to summer, the symptoms worsen... a cough develops, along with body aches. After Labor Day, the fever spikes... chills and headaches ensue. In October, conditions deteriorate even further, the illness becomes critical... for one candidate, it's always terminal.
But this year's presidential election is anything but typical... instead of a head cold, the year started off in full-blown pneumonia, and it's already progressed to critical. Between now and November, the illness is only going to get worse, but instead of just the candidates, all Americans have been infected. and the prognosis could be terminal for everyone!
Just 3 years ago, the country was equally infected, except the contagion wasn't a presidential election, it was a virus. Beyond the pathological symptoms, Americans were beset by a serious side-effect... government dictates and mandates created division. It became the vaxxed vs. the unvaxxed, lockdowns vs. freedom of movement, masks vs. bare faces. Expressed politically, it was democrats vs republicans, and the same intensely oppositional dynamic exists today in the form of Biden vs Trump voters.
As for all of those coronavirus responses, three years later, the verdict is in. A wide range of scientific studies have, by every objective measure of analysis, confirmed that vaccines didn't prevent contracting the virus, nor did they stop its spread. Lockdowns were proven to be totally ineffective, too, as were masks which, with only a few narrow exceptions, were useless... all were abject failures.
The same scientific methods of analysis could be applied to the Biden presidency. Three years later, every objective measure, both domestic and foreign policy, provides confirmation that Joe Biden is also ineffective and useless... his presidency has been an abject failure, too.
And so, as the election draws ever closer and the symptoms worsen, Americans will be facing a decision. Some will choose poorly... democrats will be inclined to vote for the political equivalent of mandatory vaccinations, lockdowns, and masks. Republicans will vote for freedom from government dictates and mandates. When it comes to the electoral illness from which we're currently suffering, the latter represents a cure. The former?
Prognosis: Terminal.
