This afternoon, over 30 million Americans will be in the blackout zone of a solar eclipse; almost everyone else in the lower 48 will experience some percentage of the eclipse. But lost in the hype surrounding the astronomical event, cosmically speaking, is another astronomical event, this one in the political and financial sense... it took place in Florida on Saturday. But first...
Last week, Joe Biden attended a campaign fundraiser in New York City. He was accompanied by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, a couple of former democrat presidents far more popular... and demonstrably more coherent, than Joe Biden. The event was held at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in midtown Manhattan and featured the fanfare surrounding a full complement of musical guests and luminaries. When the take was totaled, $26 million had been added to Joe Biden's campaign coffers.
And the crowd went wild, the crowd being democrat politicians, the people who vote for them, and the liberal media. Wow! $26 million! That's a massive sum, they exclaimed; it's a fundraising record, they extolled. With that sort of donation fervor, they declared whilst jumping with joy, Joe Biden's a cinch to win reelection!
Sadly, since then, their joy has been dimmed even darker than a total eclipse. But they won't admit it, nor will the liberal media report on the reason why, which is: Quietly, at a private residence, without the fanfare surrounding a full complement of musical guests and luminaries, a fundraising event was held in Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday evening. When the take was totaled, $50 million had been added to Donald Trump's campaign coffers.
Wow! $50 million! That's a massive sum, democrat politicians, the people who vote for them, and the liberal media will not exclaim; it's a new fundraising record, they'll refuse to extoll. With that sort of donation fervor, they won't declare... and without so much as a hop, Donald Trump's a cinch to win reelection.
This afternoon, the solar eclipse will pass over the White House at 89% of totality; it'll last 4 minutes. What are the chances Joe Biden will think it's bedtime and fall asleep? 100%, although...
It won't be over in 4 minutes... mentally, he's always asleep.
